Milwaukee DSA and MTEA present Eric Blanc, author of Red State Revolt and a labor journalist who has written for Jacobin and the Guardian. Blanc covered the teachers’ strikes in West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Arizona for Jacobin magazine, giving him a first-person view on the growing labor movement among teachers in Republican-controlled states. Blanc will be speaking on what he has learned from his experience and how to build a strong labor movement across the United States. Join us to learn how socialists can help workers organize themselves and fight back against exploitation!
